summary: Most widely used linux distribusion + versus freebsd

Hey All,

Thanks for the cool indication on what is most used,

As I was using only RedHat and FreeBSD my self, I didnt know or care to
much about the other dists

It seems that a big corporate company like mine, which uses the devel for
their desktops and servers, they do use HP and Slowlaris as well, but we
are moving towards complete opensource solution,

The big heads has decided mandrake, but they read one line in slashdot and
they think they know it all, but I have some nice mails u guys send me for
them to see whats really happening

Mainly the answers was Redhat and Suse and debian, , RedHat and SuSe would
the best in terms of support etc, Mandrake for desktops and home users,
the BSD is out there as well and good for server side stuff

There was alot of opinions and reasons, but most let to same thing,

one answer was :
Take some time to experiement with your options.  That is, after all, what
Linux is all about -- choices.
