Hi, Does anyone know the correct way to get a RHAS 3 (update 3) client to reference a CUPS printer instance on a remote CUPS server? For example, we have instances of each printer on our CUPS server which each represent a feature of that printer -- so printer "xrx_a" might have simplex, duplex and color printing. So on our CUPS server, the instances would be xrx_aS, xrx_aD, and xrx_aC. However, the *client* can only send jobs to xrx_a. Attempts to send jobs to any of the instances fails miserably. Alternatively, is there a way to print to the simplex queue of a printer whose default queue is the duplex queue from a RHAS 3 client to a CUPS server? This was all very easy with LPRng and printconf. However, getting a CUPS client to act like that is tough, and LPRng is deprecated in RHAS 3. Thanks, brian. _______________________________________________ LinuxManagers mailing list - http://www.linuxmanagers.org submissions: LinuxManagers-35TzE1X9F6582KRnZfj+bdi2O/[email protected] subscribe/unsubscribe: http://www.linuxmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/linuxmanagers
