Understanding maillog entry

Can someone be so kind as to tell me what or where arg2= comes from. Why
would it be 127.0.0.2 rather than 127.0.0.1 (localhost). I have also seen
127.0.0.3 (.4, .5 .6) as well.

I know that this indeed may be a forged address as the dig output for this
host is invalid (although not the IP lookup). Just curious about the arg2=
part
