Can someone be so kind as to tell me what or where arg2= comes from. Why would it be 127.0.0.2 rather than 127.0.0.1 (localhost). I have also seen 127.0.0.3 (.4, .5 .6) as well. Sep 14 11:33:54 rosewood sendmail[10711]: ruleset=check_relay, arg1=smtp2.tidc.telus.com, arg2=127.0.0.2, relay=smtp2.tidc.telus.com [209.171.56.4] (may be forged), reject=550 5.7.1 Rejected: 209.171.56.4 listed at relays.ordb.org I know that this indeed may be a forged address as the dig output for this host is invalid (although not the IP lookup).
