Folks - I was using my Kanguru USB drive with my Fedora Core 1 system and it got hung up on a umount. I was working on too many things at once, didn't notice it and just pulled out the drive. The filesystem on it was erase (plus the data .. I've got that elsewhere, thankfully) but now I can't reformat it. Everytime I try, I get the message that it's write protected. Of course, I've moved the switch back and forth several times, but it still won't format (I've tried WinXP as well). Is there any way to fix this? Any ideas would be appreciated, Debbie -- + Debbie Tropiano -- [email protected] -- http://www.icus.com/personal.html + | Mommy to Nathan b: 8/17/1995, ^Sara^ b: 10/25/2000 d: 11/7/2000 & | | Leah b: 10/17/2001 a: 9/26/2002 "God shows His opposition to cancer and | | birth defects, not by eliminating them or making them happen only to bad | | people (He can't do that), but by summoning forth friends and neighbors | + to ease the burden and to fill the emptiness." -- Harold S.
