Description of Problem:
After upgrading from synaptic 0.32 to 0.35, it no longer installs rpm packages.
It will download all packages, but once it begins processing packages, it
freezes and I must kill it from the terminal.

synaptic-0.35.1-1ark
How Reproducible:
upgrade synaptic to 0.35, use it for anything and watch it fail
Steps to Reproduce:
1. open synaptic, choose to upgrade/install a package
2. once d/l finishes, synaptic freezes an will not continue
Actual Results:
freezes

install/upgrade packages
