Summary: Why aren't we using FAM?
Product: Ark Linux
Version: Dockyard
Platform: i586 (PC, Intel)
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: Enhancement
Affects: Application
Component: kdelibs
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]

I was doing some poking around on the system before I started on the GNOME work
that I've been too busy (due to classes) to do, and found that we don't have
libfam in Ark. I'm curious as to why this is. With fam, we _could_ use
supermount with less issues, and the devices:/ kioslave and the quickcopy
feature in KDE wouldn't be causing as many issues with the unmounting of
removable devices. I guess I'm voting with an RFE for inclusion of the fam
package.
