Summary: VIA Rhine not enabled as eth0 (DHCP) on boot
           Product: Ark Linux
           Version: 1.0 alpha6
          Platform: i586 (PC, Intel)
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
           Affects: Overall Usability
         Component: net-tools
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]
         QAContact: [email protected]

Description of Problem:

Upon installation (VIA EPIA V 800 mainboard) the onboard VIA-Rhine NIC gets
detected, but it is not automatically brought up on boot. If I run the control
panel app and set it to DHCP (which should be set by default, or offered as a
choice during install), then manually run "ifup eth0" it works, and runs fine
upon a reboot. Except it kernel panics when the system is shutting down.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

ArkLinux 1.0 Alpha 6

How Reproducible:

Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install
2. No Ethernet interface
3. No DHCP by default

Actual Results:

eth0 is not up and using DHCP

Expected Results:

eth0 should be up and using DHCP

Additional Information:

Kernel panic on system shutdown once the NIC is running
