Description of Problem:

With the VIA-Rhine network card module loaded and running, during a system
shutdown/reboot the following kernel panic happens:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. enable networking on VIA Epia mainboard
2. shutdown/reboot
3. boom!

Actual Results:

kernel panic

shutdown nicely
