kernel has issues with sound in rc4

this is interesting..... The crashes that I'd been dealing with since yesterday with KDE 3.3.1 went away after rebuilding Qt, kdelibs, and kdebase, except that arts continues to core dump the kernel. The really interesting thing about that is, when I turned off real-time sound, arts stopped dropping core and began to operate happily. After thinking this over, this behavior began with the rc4 kernel. -- Gary L.
