To whom it may concern:
I just wanted to say how excited I am to try your
version of Linux. I'm definately a newbie and realize
the advantages of learning Linux. I hope to be able to
switch cold turkey to your operating system and slowly
begin to learn bash commands. From the advantages and
ease of use that Ark Linux has to offer, I think that
my wish will soon be possible.
I was attempting to install Ark on a spare computer
I had laying around the house. Upon doing so, the
kernel began to load but halted with the following
error: Kernel Panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on
03:02. I tried a different computer. Exact same error.
I switched out motherboards and hard drives. Exact
same error. Totally different machines with totally
different parts yielded the same results. I did
however try to install Ark on my main computer, a more
modern system circa 2002. The kernel loaded without a
hitch. What is happening that isn't allowing me to
load the kernel properly on these older PII/K6-2
machines? Thank you for your time. I am eager for your
response.

Arthur
