Thank you very much. They are speaker channels and I will use the sum of the 
inputs. Good to know though about the ambisonics. I should have realised that 
bit, since I've heard the first (W) channel referred to as the pressure 
channel or something like that.

I should be able to control all apsects of this piece, but it's gorwn a little 
over my head and might need a bit of "bus compression". I'll certainly give it 
a try.
