Hypersparc Development

Question - If I want to develop for my hypersparc, what distribution
would you recommend as a testing enviroment?

I currently have setup an Ultra5 running Aurora 1.0 (very nicely too)
connected via serial to the SS20 and they are both on the same subnet.

-netboot the sun from the ultra5.

-cross compile on the Ultra5 and then netboot on the SS20 and serial
debug it

I have SPARC Architecture Assembly language programming and C, my
experiences programming a SBC Sparc system, the SPARC risk users guide,
ROSS edition and a 3 processor 200MHz HyperSPARC.

I was tempted to attempt to fix 2.2.25 (which is broken on the SMP
hypersparc I believe) and then proceed with attempting to have a go at
2.4.x and get that working.

Any thoughts on this plan? Any advice on a kernel test package you can
use to discover if what you have done is stable?

Thanks,

Matthew
