I'll let you know what happened. This probably happened because silo was not rerun after it was upgraded. I'm assuming that you did a yum update, and not an anaconda upgrade? In the event that someone hits this again, the workaround is to boot into rescue mode, go into the chroot, and run /sbin/silo.
