  IIRC, by modifying the 'boot-device' variable:

ok printenv boot-device
boot-device =         disk:a disk disk1 net
ok setenv boot-device disk1 disk:a disk net
boot-device =         disk1 disk:a disk net
ok

  Re-ordering the boot order so disk1 is first should do the job.  Let us 
know if it doesn't.
