Hi,

I've had exactly the same problem with an ultra5 and
an ultra30. It is probably caused by CDs burned at a
speed higher than 4.

HOwever, even with 4x-burned CDs, the problem may
appear again. Usually, the machine is convinced to
read the CD at the 4th or 5th attempt...

Something else that may be also relevant: I noticed
that ultra5s and I suppose also ultra10s, don't like
CDROMS reading at speeds greater than 32x. I installed
a 52x on an ultra5, and I had very often problems
reading CDs. The problem disappeared when I put back
the original 32x CDROM.
