There were a few problems here and there, and Spot wasn't lying when he
said the new Corona tree isn't complete, but with a bit of effort it is
possible to completely upgrade to the latest release. As warned, gnome
is incomplete, loads of stuff is missing and openssl [sparc9] is totally
broken. I'm missing plenty of packages but all the essentials are in
place and kde works ok - mostly.
I used an ultra60 running the latest 2.0 branch to test the FC6 upgrade.
[mat@corona ~]$ uname -a
Linux corona.fsck.no-ip.org 2.6.16-1.2128sp4smp #1 SMP Tue Jun 13
01:33:28 CDT 2006 sparc64 sparc64 sparc64 GNU/Linux
[mat@corona ~]$ cat /etc/fedora-release
Fedora Core release 5.91 (FC6 Test2)
[mat@corona ~]$ rpm -qa | wc
681 681 14569
Cheers,
