I also have a couple of U5s working 24/7 and they
don't seem to produce any noticeable heat. This is
also true for the U10s.

U5s seem to be favorites among cats; mine also adores
sleeping on top of them, especially when I need to
open the box...

On the other hand, the noise level produced by the U5
has nothing to do with that produced by U1 and U2s.

Having two U1s each equipped with 2 scsi disks in your
room definitely gives you the impression of being in
the cockpit of a DC-3...
