Buy a P3 'Kill-a-Watt' and find out. These are available on eBay for about
$30 and will tell you all kinds of good information about your power
consumption on a single outlet. The Kill-a-Watt plugs into the outlet; the
device to be measured plugs into the outlet on the Kill-a-Watt's front. The
LCD display can be switched to show voltage, current, frequency, wattage,
voltamperes, power factor, and kilowatt-hours (accumulated from the time the
Kill-a-Watt is plugged in; I don't think there's a reset).

I have a couple of these; they are marvelous for seeing how much energy
something consumes. Much of their value comes from not only seeing the power
consumption, but the fact that it accumulates energy usage in kwh; let it run
for 24 hours or so and you can get a good idea what a piece of equipment is
going to cost you over time.
