Nick, Thanks for the reply. I will check out the link to attempt to determine what it is that my email did not include. As to what package, I listed at least three that I am unable to use and a reference to an existing bug report (on the lnx-bbc bug list...although it had an aging of 33 days). In thinking further on this bug, I have not had any other Linux install/distro exhibit this problem except for LNX-BBC 2.x and I have evaluated at least a dozen for usage within our enterprise. So its pretty strange behavior. (Problem accessing Internet via web, lynx, ftp...w/ LNX-BBC 2.1) Your message didn't have a Package: line at the start (in the pseudo-header following the real mail header), or didn't have a pseudo-header at all. This makes it much harder for us to categorise and deal with your problem report. Please _resubmit_ your report and tell us which package the report is on. I can even ssh to that same IP; however, I cannot FTP, use LYNX or BROWSEX. Message comes back is that connection is closed. This was not a problem with version 1.618 or other similar CD based Linux distros (knoppix, linuxcare bootable, F.I.R.E., etc.) My configuration: Compaq M300 laptop with Intel (R) PRO/100+ MiniPCI network card (built-in). I am behind a firewall with NAT in place. Any help would be appreciated. In looking at some previous bug reports, I noticed a #382 that is similar to my situation. Thanks.
