When you build on gar, you get an image which is around 1,000,000
bytes smaller than the image you get by building on a chroot on
garson from exactly the same source tree.

We would like the image to be as small as possible, so it would be
good to understand exactly why this happens, and how to control the
build process to get it to produce the smallest possible image.

I am closing this bug because the LNX-BBC build now treats the BBC
image as an embedded system and cross-compiles the entire thing, and
builds its own toolchain in the process.  This should, in theory, wipe
out any size differences between binaries on the ISO.  Any packages
which continue to have size differences should be inspected to see
whether they are being compiled using our compiler, and if not, a bug
should be filed for each one.
