That was interesting about the LEDs and thanks for the pointer to the web site. I am getting closer. I created a CD from the last .iso build listed for today and did a insmod /lib/modules/2.4.22-xfs/kernel/drivers/scsi/ips.o after booting from the CD. I saw the raid adapter recognized, but there is a mis-match between the bios in the adapter and the ips.o driver. I have the 6.10.24 level of the bios in the adapter and the ips.o reports that it is 6.00.26. I have RH9 loaded on the server and I saw a message at insmod time that it thought my ext3 formatted disks were actually msdos. This sounded like warning bells and I did an init 0 to stop things. I have the 6.10.24 level ips.c and ips.h needed to be compiled. What is the best way to get this level of the serveraid driver included? I can send them on to someone or download the parts and try to build it here. What do you think? And again thanks for the help. (hopefully I am using the correct terms) -- Ed Neidhardt
