	Okay, so I grew up playing on dial-up BBSes in the Seattle
area.  I think I stuck around the BBS scene a little too long, but
that's another story.  There was a fellow on the local Citadel-based
boards who went by "justin sane", and he was a big fan of Front 242.  

	He began to notice the number 242 appearing in receipts, phone
numbers, license plates, and just about everywhere.  If you look for
any one three-digit number in all the strings of digits you see in
your daily life, chances are you're going to find it regularly and
frequently.  Justin took this to an art form, pointing out the number
in time stamps, number of syllables in word patterns, etc etc.

	I think he stopped listening to Front 242 a long time ago, but
the meme of the 242 sighting has persisted.  It was a fun game that we
all kind of took a little too earnestly.  Our bot on the #lnx-bbc
channel actually matches on /2[^0-9]*4[^0-9]*2/ and cries out
"<Dumont> 242 Sighting!"
