Hi all, Finally got round to buying some bizcard CDR's, and burnt version 2.1 of LNX-BBC. Booted it up on a Compaq Armada 1750 laptop (P2 333, 128Mb RAM) and as soon as you probe for PCMCIA / Cardbus cards, the system enters trace mode (loads of numbers sandwiched between a '<' and a '>') Sorry, can't reproduce the problem at the moment, the laptop is busy building some Apps for Gentoo. I can tell you that the Cardbus controller is a : Texas Instruments PCI-1225 Cardbus controller Sorry I'm being vague, but I didn't have much time to play with LNX-BBC, and I'm going from memory (from last week) as I can't reproduce the problem at the moment. Basically, I booted up the CD (pretty much with default settings), and it crashed before completing the boot-up. So, I rebooted, and this time I turned off the hardware discovery (forget the option/syntax), and it booted fine, and gave me a login prompt. Found that the Ethernet card wasn't being seen, so ran the relevant command to scan the Cardbus interface, and as soon as I did, I experienced the problem detailed above. Sorry I can't be more specific right now........I've not subscribed to the mailing list, as I get too much email (100+ a day) as it is. If you need to ask questions..........send me a mail, and I'll see what I can do. Cheers, and thanks for a nice compact distro Justin
