Hi All,

I like Knoppix, its a great "live" distro that I've given to Windoze-addicted 
friends so they can see for themselves that they have a choice. 
However, Knoppix can be demanding of computing power - anything less than about 
a 600Mhz CPU & 96Mb of RAM, and its unhappy. If, like me, you're stuck with 
something a little more retro, (P130 CPU, 48Mb RAM) then you might want to try 
these "live" distros:

I've actually installed DamnSmallLinux (which is GNU/Debian & Knoppix based)as 
my operating system - works great! Only thing I've added is the Opera 7.11
browser/e-mail client (and some games ;-) 
You can also check the distro list at:

for other "minimalist" distros, though not all are available as "live" CDs and 
some are very specialized (eg. servers, firewalls, ham radio, etc.).
