Thanks!  Now I'm working on getting things to compile against it...
although with a lack of header files it looks like I'll need to do that
GAR thing.  :-(

I did get it all taken apart, using the extract_compressed_fs thing I
found in the tarball earlier today.

Have you gotten it to boot multiple kernels off a single CD yet? 
Ideally, I'd like to be able to chose between a 2.2.x and 2.4.x, or at
least a stripped 2.4.x and a real 2.4.x... I have several systems that
absolutely refuse to work with a 2.4.x kernel with all those IDE 'fixes'
compiled in.
