This cloonoo searched the whole raw lnx-bbc archive glom plus elsewhere on
the 'net, but could not discover how to make a connection with a WiFi PC
card. Step by step, please.
Compaq Presario 1200 XL110 (discover'd as Compaq 12XL125)
LinkSys WPC11
LinkSys BEFW4 WAP waiting patiently at the other end.
"/etc/init.d/pcmcia start" and "trivial-net-start" seem to work (sort of)
for a LinkSys NP10T in the card slot. The system complains about DNS with
each URL access, but brings up web pages anyway.
However, with the WPC11 in the slot "iwconfig eth0 essid ANY channel 4"
does not believe eth0 exists. What have I missed?
BTW, how does one shut down one PC Card and start up another without
rebooting?
