okokok, let's go:

1) make sure bluez is installed on your comp (mine is debian)
FR-PORT:/# dpkg -al | grep bluez
ii bluez-gnome 0.13-1
   ii bluez-utils 3.22-2

2) make sure your bt system is on
FR-PORT:/# hciconfig -a
hci0: Type: USB
BD Address: 00:0B:6B:91:A2:E1 ACL MTU: 377:10 SCO MTU: 64:8
         UP RUNNING PSCAN
         RX bytes:1244 acl:0 sco:0 events:29 errors:0
         TX bytes:611 acl:0 sco:0 commands:29 errors:0

         Packet type: DM1 DM3 DM5 DH1 DH3 DH5 HV1 HV2 HV3
Link policy: RSWITCH HOLD SNIFF PARK
         Link mode: SLAVE ACCEPT
         Name: 'FR-PORT-0'
         Class: 0x10010c
         Service Classes: Object Transfer
         Device Class: Computer, Laptop
HCI Ver: 1.2 (0x2) HCI Rev: 0x69 LMP Ver: 1.2 (0x2) LMP Subver:
0x694a
         Manufacturer: Broadcom Corporation (15)

3) get your bluetooth headset ready for pairing.
you might push some special button to make it blinking or something
(well, refer to your headset manual)

4) pick up the mac adress of your headset
FR-PORT:/# hcitool scan
Scanning ...
 > 11:22:33:44:55:66

5) connect with your headset
FR-PORT:/# hcitool cc 11:22:33:44:55:66

ok, that's it.

Btw, i use kbluetoothd and everything goes ok in pairing without any
command line.

Hope it helps,

Happy new year ;)

regards,

f.
