IMHO, the only naming convention for oM stuff could/should be the
leading "om", if the rest of the name is meaningful (or at least it
sounds cool ;) it may help the user to remember the command and
understand what the program is expected to do. Is clear that omd is a
openMosix daemon, but it's not clear that it handles process
migration...

"omusmigd" maybe sounds better, but it's up to you ;)
