Correct, it is a shared disk. However, no special equipment is required.
We set one up here pretty quickly, using AoE (ATA over Ethernet) with
just an old computer sharing out a disk as a AoE device and configuring
GFS to use that device.

Using GFS on top of a tmpfs or ramdisk could give us shared memory
support.  ???

I don't know about iSCSI but given that GFS supports it and AoE,
allowing for more than one underlying tech, I don't think it should be
written off completely just yet.

I'm know nothing of CFS, per Aneesh's email. It's always good to have
options, and definitely worth looking into.  

My concern is the openmosix project maintaining a file system.  Let
other, more interested and qualified people, do that.  We can focus on
the goal of the project.
