Newbie question: typo in /etc/init.d/openmosix?

Hi!

Although I'm definitely not a linux expert, I just couldn't resist trying
openMosix on a some VERY old PCs (2x486, 1x P133) running eisfair [1]. For
me it's mostly learning by doing, but the good thing is that now, at last,
my very own eisfair-openmosix-cluster is working and speeds up things like
mp3 encoding. So it's time to say "thank you" to all the developers and the
folks who wrote the how-tos.

There's only one little thing that still confuses me. When openMosix starts,
I get an error message:
touch: cannot touch '/var/lock/subsys//openmosix': No such file or directory

I haven't edited /etc/init.d/openmosix - the double-slash was there from the
beginning. That's a typo, right? I guess I should just change that, but, not
having too much linux experience, I don't really know what that lock file is
good for and what the possible consequences of its (non-)existence are.
Therefore your good advice would really be appreciated.

[1] The "eis" in eisfair is short for Easy Internet Server - and that's
exactly what it is. If you can read German, you should have a look at
www.eisfair.org . If German is all Greek to you, you might still want to
check it out, as all the menus etc. are in English.
