Re: Locking a running process

Hi,

Processes that are heavily IO intensive will not migrate successfully.

The user should be informed that due to their job writing constantly to
disk, the jobs always remains on the home node.

This can be avoided by writing openMosix friendly jobs - less frequent
disk read/writes and perhaps making the job use more than 1 process.

I am unsure of the state of oM 2.6 but have heard that it may make use
of cluster file systems (the likes of GFS and maybe OCFS2) but only
time will tell.
