hi!

i am trying to make an openmosix cluster with debian sarge whose kernel is
2.4.27.
the openmosix patch that i downloaded is for 2.4.26 and so i downloaded
2.4.24 from kernel.org <http://kernel.org>. patch with openmosix and
recompile using the old config file (which was previously working).

however, the machine does not boot and i get kernel panic, unable to mount
root fs.
my menu.lst (grub.conf) looks like this:
****************

title Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.4.27-2-386
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.27-2-386 root=/dev/hda3 ro
initrd /initrd.img-2.4.27-2-386
savedefault
boot

title Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.4.27-2-386 (recovery mode)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.27-2-386 root=/dev/hda3 ro single
initrd /initrd.img-2.4.27-2-386
savedefault
boot

title Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.4.26-om1
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.26-om1 root=/dev/hda3 ro
savedefault
boot

title Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.4.26-om1 (recovery mode)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.26-om1 root=/dev/hda3 ro single
savedefault
boot

*************
What should i do? is there any special parameter in the kernel that i have
to change?
i have a working openmosix cluster using the 2.4.20 with mandrake 10, but i
can't make this debian system up.

thanks very much.

mary
