Hi, The problem with suse 9.3 is that they have "udev" by default, and this system is only used in 2.6 kernel series , Fedora 4 has the same, problem, Fedora 4 has the /etc/sysinit script, where de udev is called, and is very dificult to change this. Fedora 4 have the gcc 4.0, and some simbols are not supported by this compiler. try to use Linux distribution that have a full compatibility with the 2.4 series. Like Fedora 1 Suse 9.1 gentoo 2005.1 Debian Sarge with Gentoo and Debian is very easy to setup openmosix, and you can have the two kernel s: openmosix 2.4 and a kernel 2.6. is very easy to get down de udev system and setup the devfs for the 2.4 kernel series. Is not necesary to use gcc 2.95, i 've used the gcc 3.3.x with success. that documentation is unupdated. -- Rafael Alfaro. Omnilife Independent Distributor. "People taking care of people".
