that clearly depends on the benchmark. When you run CPU bound apps
(for which oM is most suitable), VMware's overhead can be surprisingly
low. One example: for Povray I've measured an overhead below 5
percent. 

Could you please point me to some benchmark which lead to 25 through
45 percent? It would be quite important for my own research.
