 Supermicro PIV and Xeon machines works fine with OpenMosix clusters. I 
have mounted severla clusters with that hardware configuration, using 
Mandriva as distribution.

 (In fact, I will have one of those in CEBIT running)

 The problem is not between the Supermicro motherboard and OpenMosix, but 
between Opteron processors and OpenMosix. OpenMosix does not work (yet) 
fine under Opteron.
