I will not argue on Opterons/OM as I have no experience. But please note
that MoBo for dual dual-core Opterons is quite different from that for
Xeons. I can boot clusterKnoppix from CD on my Supermicros but it does
not see hard disks. So maybe it could work as diskless node. When I
install all three into the rack (I got them recently), maybe I will give
it a try just to check how Opterons work in OM.
