Re: Shared memory

Hi,

I have always wanted to use Openmosix in the server environment where one
can load balance apache/other web servers like thttpd, a database system
like mysql/postgres/oracle, an email server like qmail/postfix/sendmail/exim
which would help data centers reduce costs. Though I have read up a little
on the migshm patches, like most others i have come to the conclusion that
Openmosix cannot be used [Yet] in such environments. Is it possible in
theory?

Secondly, i was wondering if openmosix can be used to serve as a load
balancer for using windows applications under linux using Wine or WineX.
Sample applications would be 3D studio max, Maya or Cinema 4D, Lightwave,
etc which would do 3D image rendering and modelling using a Linux/openmosix
as a rendering farm. I know one can successfully run povray on a openmosix
cluster. what about native Linux apps like Blender3d? Could anyone shed some
light on this? What are the implications?

I have just started experimenting with openmosix so I do not know much about
it. Any Links, references, articles, books, etc on this is welcome.
