  Most of what you are wanting to is best done by either a High
Availablity Cluster(HAC) or a Renderfarm, not a Single System
Image(SSI) cluster. OpenMosix is an SSI clustering system. SSI's are
ideal for situation where you need to do alot of number crunching or
in a situation where you have alot of users running non-parrellel apps
and need to spread the load.Mailserver and databases are really
bottlenecked by the fact they have to all talk to the same data.
Openmosix does not really help this situation. On the other hand,
openMosix is a good way to handle the load of spamassassin when you
are having to filter alot of email every minute.
 In the case of a Renderfarm, openMosix can be used to augument the
performance of typical Renderfarm in much the same way it is used to
improve the operation of an MPI/LAM cluster.
 Openmosix is also very bad idea for something like web services
becuase you normally use a cluster to be sure the service remains
availble even if a node fails. In openmosix a node failure can and
often does do bad things to the cluster.
