About the userspace tools: i am working on it, to free some code on this weekend. User space tools is going to be _experimental_, for development and testing for the 2.6 kernel. It will be based on the actual code, it will be compatible from the OM user point of view, but it is _alpha_. It is not inteed to be used on a production cluster now.
