Hello,
Recently there have been a few new people, on and off
list, who've had difficulty setting up their own OS build's (as
opposed to live CD's) with openMosix - either due to oM
config issues or network config issues.
I realised that there was no single document that
demonstrated how easy it was to build a working cluster from
the current productiong RPMs, so I put one together.
See;

"How to build a working openMosix cluster without touching
a compiler"
The openMosix community has provided numerous ways
for new users to easily and rapidly build clusters.
Unfortunately, for the community, there are those new
users who want to test openMosix on their own terms but
haven't the understanding required to do so. These users
are often disheartened by their initial experience and turned
away from openMosix, simply because of their own
configuration faults.
For these users, this paper will provide a basic, step-by-
step process for installing a working openMosix cluster,
using only an off-the-shelf Linux distribution and two
openMosix RPMs.
This build process will not require code modification or
compiling, it will be repeatable, and will not require prior
openMosix experience.
I've also uploaded (as of a few days ago) a copy of CHAOS-1.5,
CHAOS-0.7 and Supplemental-0.7, as their original ISOs (from eon's
ago). Each of these are referenced in various works and should
be left online for those docs.
See; http://midnightcode.org/projects/chaos/
Thanks,
