Hello i was thinking to connect all my nodes by cross over cable,
I would put two ethernet cards in each and bridge them.
Would look like that
+--------+ |
| /eth0|---
|br0 |
| \eth1|---c
+--------+ |r
|o
+--------+ |s
| /eth0|---s
|br0 |
| \eth1|---
+--------+ |
|
+--------+ |
| /eth0|---
|br0 |
| \eth1|---
+--------+ |
|
+--------+ |
| /eth0|---
|br0 |
| \eth1|---
+--------+ |
Does this increase the network speed to the double ?
I was not realy sure so befor i start working on it maybe someone
has tried this experiment and can give me some stats.
I'm not sure what happens to all the arp ( frame forwarding ) traffic
since i had allready problems in a simular situation
( instead of ethernet i used wifi ).
Is it possibill that the bridges need to be configured to work proper,
equal thinks like the Spanning Tree Protocol ?
thanx
