Something I found out recently (that is also in the FAQ) is that OpenMosix cannot distribute different threads to different machines. A multi-process application can have each process sent to a different machine under certain conditions. If you're using perl, grab Parallel::ForkManager off CPAN - it makes creating this type of program very easy. (Local file IO and print statements kill the portability though.) I am trying openmosix now and I have lots of applications but, I don't know whether these applications can be used on openmosix. Thanks a lot.
