ok, first openMosix works with samba :) but it is not really made for it.
What i mean is that openMosix is made for High-performance computing
and not for file-servers. 

Using samba with openMosix balances each new client process but
anyways the IO will go through one bottleneck.

To gain more preformance for your filesystem i would
suggest to use a parallel filesystem like pvfs

http://www.linuxjournal.com/article.php?sid=4354

which is fast but not easy to handle e.g. in case of crashes. 
Or you could use a raid (which is fast, save and expensive ;)
