OpenSSI for CentOS 4

Hi,

As you know CentOS 4 is based on RHEL4
(http://www.centos.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=35) which in
turn is based on Fedora Core 3 (http://www.fedorafaq.org/fc3/#about)
and CentOS 4 is supported until Feb 29, 2012
(http://www.centos.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=42).

The current state of the OpenSSI for CentOS 5 is we are still porting
to the newer vanilla kernel.  Porting OpenSSI for FC3 to CentOS 4
should take considerably less effort than say porting to CentOS 5.  We
only have to port the OpenSSI userspace from FC3 to CentOS 4.  We
should first port to CentOS 4 to capture those OpenSSI users
interested in an enterprise distro.  Then continue with the work on
OpenSSI for CentOS 5.

>From what I recall John Hawley has already completed the CentOS 4
userspace port, but may not have caught up with our latest OpenSSI
1.9.3.  We could ask him for the userspace and go from there.
