Best approach is .... I'dont know ....

OpenSSI if for process migration (distribution along machines's CPU's), if
your software is multithread sure don't works ...

By the other hand, image processing genarally is boosted not using CPU but
GPU since they works with vectors.

Probably using only a few GPU cards (Nvidia/CUDA, AMD-ATI) you can lower
your times ...
