It may mean that the client cache still contains the same exact version 
number and therefore constitutes as a "hit".  Once you've poisoned your 
apt cache with a broken md5sum rpm, apt will be broke until you resolve 
it by either cleaning your cache out or incrementing the release 
version to supersede the cached package.
