not really[0].

a mesa backport[1] is itself a simple rebuild (no changes needed),
if the following packages are backported too:

   * llvm-toolchain-21
     => simple rebuild, no changes necessary

   * directx-headers
     => simple rebuild, no changes necessary
        (could probably avoided, but not worth the effort)

   * libdrm
     => simple rebuild, no changes necessary,
        and you want that anyway for the same reasons as mesa itself

   * spirv-llvm-translator-21
   * spirv-tools
   * spirv-headers
     => simple rebuilds, no changes necessary
        (at least one of them could probably avoided, but not worth the
        effort)

imho just backport 26.0.8-1 (or 26.1.0 later) - much less hassle, less 
intrusive and works provably well (in ffwd since end of March, running 
of a couple of hundred machines without issues ever since).
