mentioned previously.=C2=A0 If you change to root and run 'amixer', you wil=
l=20
see it gives a message about 'not able to contact host'.=C2=A0 Sorry I forg=
ot=20
the exact message.
To fix this you can do
apt install pulseaudio
apt remove pulseaudio
