Subject: Suggestion: Add banner alerting debian release is not published yet
Package: release-notes

Severity: wishlist

Dear maintainers,

I'd like to bring to your attention that the release notes for trixie
can mislead readers to think trixie is currently stable, rather than
unstable.

For example, the document includes this sentence:

> This new release of Debian again comes with a lot more software than its predecessor bookworm

Nowhere in the section that documents the upgrade path it is warned
that this document is a work-in-progress, and trixie hasn't been
released yet.

This is specially misleading for readers - like me - that find this
document through a google search, believing trixie had already been
released.

I'd like to suggest that it becomes policy for the future
work-in-progress release notes documents to show a visible warning
banner on every page, making sure the reader knows what they are
dealing with.

Thanks!
