Hi Emmanuel and everyone:

Just a ping to move scala 2.12 forward, whenever someone has spare cycles.

Right now, the one item that blocks everything else is the scala 2.12.21 bu=
mp:

  https://salsa.debian.org/java-team/scala/-/merge_requests/2

It follows the shape you proposed: the 2.12 STARR jars are injected into sr=
c:scala as a build-time-only embedded seed, the build is two-pass (pass1 us=
es the seed, pass2 self-hosts and drops it), so nothing prebuilt ships ( af=
ter the first upload scala self-bootstraps from the archive)

Would you be willing to sponsor it?

Best,

Juan

PS: Next ones would be:

- PLM Scala 2.12 port: https://salsa.debian.org/java-team/plm/-/merge_req=
uests/4

In parallel:
- jline3 3.29.0 (leaf, for 2.13; jline2/jline3 coexistence still open): htt=
